Hello, ICSers!
I am beaming out to you from survey-editing-land…and I am mostly impressed and amused by your offerings! I’ve written a few, so here are some hints to help yours get the highest ratings!
Have one ‘throw away’ answer like Other, Doesn’t apply to me, Don’t know/don’t care. There are some survey questions that don’t need a throw away answer though, like ‘If you had to choose one of these, which one would it be?’
You have 90 characters for the question. Here is where you can get creative. You have only 40 characters for the answers, so you have to be judicious in your word choice and arrangement.
Avoid answers like Yes and No and Maybe and Sometimes.
Feel free to use your sense of humor! We are here to have fun!
Also, if you come across a typo or grammatical or spelling error in any survey, let us know! We really appreciate your sharp eye!
If you don’t want to write your own survey, but have an idea for a good one, again, let us know!
Don’t shy away from ethical, moral, legal or sensitive issues. We are not here to be politically correct, we are here to be real, and find out what we all think about true issues. Don’t be crass or rude or obnoxious, but do ask how to handle such people. Don’t use slurs or invective, but do ask what causes people to spew vitriol.
Sometimes, we get to be a part of something that is amazing, special, and groundbreaking. Our path, our journey, is usually serendipitous. I have a hunch, a gut feeling, that ICS is such a thing, its community alive and bright, its founders forward-thinking and in-tune, and its premise fun and interesting and rewarding.
I can’t wait to see where our journey takes us, and am glad to be on it with all of you!
